Samson Manufacturing AK Rail Review

Samson Manufacturing AK rail

Samson Manufacturing AK rail

The Samson Manufacturing AK rail gives you the same flexibility in mounting tactical accessories that you get with an AR-15. The AK K-rail is cleverly designed so that both side and underfolding stocks will clear it, nor will it prevent the use of the factory open sights. The AK rail system is machined from 6061 T-6 aluminum and hard anodized for abrasion resistance and environmental protection. Each slot in the MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rails has a white, etched alphanumeric marking to enable you to return your accessory to the same slot if you remove it from the rifle. Large ventilation holes in the AK rail systems reduce weight and help keep the weapon cool in sustained fire. The following AK K-rail rail variants are available:

Model 1 – 9¾” (24.8cm) OAL. Fits most full-size AK-47/AKM with fixed or folding stocks.

Model 2 – 6¾” (17.2cm) OAL. Fits most Krinkovs, except Bulgarian.

Model 3 – Approximately 5″ (12.7cm) OAL. Fits Bulgarian Krinkov with fixed or folding stocks.

Century – Fits most models including the SAR 1,2, and 3.

Saiga – Fits Saiga AK models.

Note that, due to variations in the way AKs are constructed from country to country, it is possible that some modifications to your weapon may be necessary to enable the fitting of the AK rail- typically the removal of sling loops.
