Surefire X400
The Surefire X400 is a very compact and rugged, Picatinny rail-mounted combined white light and visible laser. The LED has no filament to burn out and gives a very strong beam with a surrounding circle for periperhal vision via its Total Internal Reflection lens. Output is 170 lumens – enough to destroy an opponent’s night vision. Duration is 2.4 hours. The 5 milliwatt, 635 nanometer laser is almost twice as bright as that of the closest competitor product. Nylok screws prevent the lasers adjusters moving under recoil and vibration meaning the unit will rarely need re-zeroing. The housing is immensely rugged aircraft grade aluminum sealed with O-rings and Type III anodized in black. Momentary and full on/off is via a one finger operated button on the rear of the housing or optional remote switch. A mode switch allows light only, laser only or dual laser and light modes and also allows for the unit to be deliberately disabled to avoid inadvertent switching on. Both Pictainny and universal rail mounting is accommodated – the latter via an adapter. You can purchase other adapters for various weapons and remoteor pistol grip switches for use on long guns.
