Timney AR trigger
The Timney AR Trigger is a self contained unit for small pin AR platforms. This unit delivers a smooth, creep-free pull and crisp break that is much more like a bolt action hunting rifle than a factory AR. The Timney AR Trigger is a genuine drop-in fit with no gunsmithing required as all components are contained by an 6061 T-6 aluminium housing which is gold anodized. For wear and impact resistance the hammer is wire-EDM machined from S7 tool steel and Teflon-Nickel coated. A2 tool steel is used for other components, heat treated to Rc 56-60 for longevity in service and black oxide coated for corrosion protection. All engagement surfaces are polished to ensure a crisp, clean let-off. You install with your weapon’s existing trigger pins and a proprietary design ensures the pins are retained. There are three models available.
- Timney AR-15 trigger with standard trigger shoe
AR-15 model has a fixed, factory-set 3 lb. pull weight,with standard solid trigger shoe
- Timney AR-15 trigger with skeleton trigger shoe
AR-15 model as above, but with lighter, skeletonized trigger shoe.
Timney AR 308 trigger (note the larger hammer)
AR-.308 model has a factory-set 4 lb. pull weight, a solid shoe, and more hammer mass to ensure positive ignition of harder .308/7.62mm primers. Fits small pin .308 AR platforms.
