SHREWD Muzzle Brake Review

SHREWD Muzzle Brake

SHREWD Muzzle Brake

The  SHREWD Muzzle Brake is designed to reduce recoil and muzzle climb in rifles, leading to increased accuracy. The staggered gas vents are angled at seven degrees to push gas and noise forwards – however your rifle will sound substantially noisier, particularly to those to either side of you. These units come with a 0.220 exit hole that must be opened up to 0.020″ over the actual diameter of the bullets your rifle fires as calibers are often nominal and differ from the actual bullet diameter. Three different diameters are available and can be turned down at the rear to blend with your barrel contour. The .865″ is the correct outside diameter to fit Lone Eagle pistols. The units come in 4140 chrome moly steel in the white for finishing or in 416 stainless. A special varmint model, the SHREWD Varmint Brake is available without ports at the top of bottom to minimize dust signature.
